Selected Publications
Deon Heffington is an associate professor at the Autonomous University of the State of Quintana Roo (UQROO). Her educational background is related to English Language Teaching, Education, and Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialization in ESOL and Bilingual Education. She’s a member of the National Research System in Mexico (SNI) and of the State Research System (SEI) in Quintana Roo. Broadly, her research interests include effective instructional practices in English Language Teaching (ELT) in K-12 and higher education and studies related to ELT preparation programs and pre-service and in-service education with bi/multilingual students.
